Update on the Nikon D800 left focusing issue | Nikon Rumors

Seems like Nikon has acknowledge the issue.

"For larger deviations, the AF module will first mechanically be re-aligned. This may actually include the AF auxiliary mirror in some cases."

Wonder if singapore has gotten this procedure~

The problem here is, Nikon don't even know which Lot were affected?!
Furthermore, if you bring down to NSC, they do not service your D800/E if you could not proved it!
Worst to it, I do not have a Pro WA to test my can, then how to proved my left focus is out...I belived there are many out there in the same boat as me.....
Nikon needs to consider this, not all D800/E are Pros...!!

There is nothing to be true alignment.
Unless Nikon take action to be recall the left AF issue and replace the new AF module.

Got my D800E back from NSC last week. Focus is right on target now, center, left and right. Tested with 24mm and 50mm.
They even help me calibrated my 24mm lens that was sent in together.
