Im not really new to photography, but i'm new to this camera and this issue is really starting to confuse me. How do I remove the battery from the camera in order to charge it?

how the Battery being insert into the body in the first place? just reverse the process will do.

I was just worried because the battery didnt fall out on its own and i know that the batter locks into the charger, so i thought it might be locked into the camera in the same way

that's the fail safe lock to prevent battery from falling out once your open the door... all cameras i used got this feature...
