Nikon 50mm 1.8D or 1.4D

Hi

I'm a nikon D90 user with only the kit lens (18-105). I'm slowly trying to get a few more lenses and was thinking of getting the nikon 50mm 1.8D. It is cheap (less than $200). The price and the the reviews it has received in online discussions makes me want to buy it.
They say it produces tack sharp images.
Like to get some info from people who have used it and also whether people here think that I should go for the 1.4D.

What is the difference between the 1.4D and the 1.4G?

Just get the 1.8mm the 1.4 arent fantastic imo.

You would love the lens. I've use the F1.4. Under tight budget, get the F1.8. If you need the extra stop for low light without flash, get the F1.4

They are in fact some of the better autofocusing 50mms in the market
