Nikon 13mm f/5.6 Ai-S (The Holy Grail of Nikon)

Hi to all, i was browsing thru ebay when i saw this:

Dun think i would ever see this lens on sale so I'm quite surprised. To me, its far more rarer than the legendary noct-nikkor. Anyone interested can look at the review by Kenrockwell below:

You mean rectilinear? A lens this wide can't be distortion free.

Everytime I see one of these(and the asking proce) on eBay, I count myself lucky that Nikon makes a 14-24 f/2.8.

not exactly the widest.. sigma has the 12-24. widest prime though.. ever heard of the Nikkor 300 f/2, 1200-1700 f/5.6-8 or the zoomar 180 1.3?

Thanks but i shoot macro most of the time so this lens is quite useless to me. Maybe can use as paperweight as it look quite heavy :think:

Ya i agree. For those collectors with fat wallets and cash to burn, 28k is nothing.
