Thanks. But I called both Cathay and SLRR. Neither was able to say when and how much. Both said "absolutely no idea at this point."

Mine has also arrived. Collecting tomorrow. I ordered it 2 months ago. Just took up bird photography. Had good results so far with my V1 + FT1 + 70-300 VRII. Looking forward to trying the CX lens soon and picking up a V2 or V3 when I visit Hong Kong end of year.

I love my CX 70-300. Light weight and very sharp. However I am experiencing a heating up on my V1 body with this lens after about 10 - 15 minutes of usage - something I did not encounter with my other CX lenses. The battery also drains down faster. Any other CX 70-300 owners has this same issue? Is this normal? Thanks.
