Nikkor 35mm Autofocus problem

Dear all,

I have a nikkor 35mm f/1.8 and I am facing some troubles with the autofocus (and the manual focus as well actually).

When I try to use the autofocus, I can hear the motor trying to act but stopping somewhat. And even using the manual focus doesn't change the focus of the lens. Anybody has ever faced this kind of troubles? I am quite sure I should bring it to customer service but it worth to ask the question here first.

Sounds to me it's spoilt and sorry that you have to make a trip down to NSC.
