Two shots of same place, different settings.
Which one is better?

Darker or brighter looks better?

Me, on location at Shuang Lin Monastery, CNY eve. =)

2nd.

better contrast, better details in the 2nd.
the 1st has got a silouetted person inside, and if present in the 2nd, would be good.

Tho #2 looks better, e contrast needs 2b reduced juz a little bit lower n it'll b perfect. :dunno:

2nd one~

2nd one!! you may consider adjusting the highlight in Photoshop to bring some details

2nd better.. no.1 looks abit under and most importantly i think it'll be hard to get a good print from this copy..

#2 definitely. everything's seemed much clearer and colors are better :)

I prefer the 2nd one. The yellowish highlights of the roof more apparent, helping in framing. It looks more 3D in 2nd pic. MayB its intentional...but in both there seems to B a tilt. Juz my 2 cents. :)

no.1 might be underexposed..but i think its closer to the real scene than no.2. no.2 looks overexposed to me. maybe somewhere in between might be nice

#1 underexpose
#2 overexpose
:bsmilie:

but 2 looks better to me..

#2 the lanterns are blown out.
Just use the lantern in #1 for pic #2 and it will be ok.

#1: slightly underexposed
#2: slightly overexposed but is commonly seen as a good night photo ;)
if you wan to keep the detail of those overexposed area, maybe you can try merging both photos

#2 is definitely my choice!;)
