Ai...yo.....why is on this Friday...I not in sg ah...

Will join for the next night macro (maybe there is??) ;)

Guys, enjoy night macro shooting! post more pics please!!

For my night macro shooting, i used the following lights:

1. 3W LED torch which uses Cree LED. powered by 3x AAA batteries. Handheld. Use for searching insects/bugs on plants/trees/bushes/ground.
Bought in SL tower for approx $25.

2. Energizer dual led white light. Bought from NTUC. powered by 3x AAA batteries. DIY mount or mounted on lens hood or lens body for focusing. It basically lights up wherever you point your lens to. the head is adjustable from zero degree till approx 120 degree. When not in use, i flick the switch to the other position, it emits a small red light.
Bought in NTUC for approx $22.

Also used a Canon 100mm f2.8 macro usm lens and a SpeedLite 420EX external flash mounted onto a DIY diffuser (diffuser is a must to spread the flash light)

Just sharing my setup.
