Actually i'm new in Fashion Photography and want to ask the following question from fellow seniors. It is actually photos for a blogshop and i was thinking night shoot which can bring out the model with the clothes.

So the questions

What kind of places do you all recommend??? coz like at Marina Bay Sands instead of bring out the Model and the clothes will only bring out the Buildings lolz

How to use a flash wisely if i only have the ability to put on the body and not wireless trigger

Good timing for shoots

Go read up on rear sync flash techniques.

And you probably may want to bring a tripod along.

When you dont have the gear, have to be creative.

first of all search online and look for fashion photos that reflect what you want and then try to copy.

as long the flash can rotate, you can use reflectors to control the flash lighting.

make a list of the model poses you want before going onsite.

and then get any necessary permits if required.

Something else came to mind.

Besides the excellent technical advise given by other members, night fashion photography imposes quite a bit of technical difficulties, and challenges.

Since you're new to fashion photography, you could consider making it a bit easier for yourself and shooting in the very late afternoon till early dusk. That way, you might still get ambiance and feel in the shots without having to grapple with the technicalities of a full blown night shoot.

Just some thoughts ...
