Normally the insects will come out after the rain, and the plants will have small water droplets all over and become more interesting, so this is a golden opportunity if you are into photography of insects/plants.

I find there are more things to shoot during rainny day...I love the blue moody feel. The sun after rain is nice...try it...

Most of the dust in the sky actually clears after the rain. If i were in your shoes, i'd bring a camera and tripod up a point block, bring a friend (and some snacks) to chit-chat, and shoot as soon as the rain clears, before the traffic kicks up the haze again.

You might even catch a rainbow.
