NEX C3 and Old Lenses Question

Hi all, I have a NEX-C3 with dual kit lenses.

Intend to get an old 50mm prime lens.

It it feasible to get this

Canon FD Lens to NEX adapter from eBay

as well as

Canon FD 50mm f1.4/f1.8 from BnS?

what settings do I have to use on my cam?
any disadvantages?

1st thing. you lose the AF

as for exposure and WB, not to worry since it'll show the changes on the screen as you adjust the shooting parameters

It's feasible provided you are comfortable with manual focus. Also, some shooting modes are not practical to be used with manual lenses such as shutter priority mode.

Get an adapter from lens.sg @ peninsula for 50 quid and shoot any manual lens you fancy, with sony's unique peaking function. Choose 60 year old leicas, old soviet lenses or pre-war legacy glass - results are supreme! Enjoy... Have fun!
