Happy shooting!!;)

Welcome and enjoy, I dun bother to read the manual when I bought my first DSLR, just shoot and experience it yaself, anything u dunno just google, faster than reading the manual.

Welcome..

i think depends on what sort of person you are and how you learn best. some learn best by exploring and hands-on, while some learn by reading the manual first, etc etc..

no matter what you do, just enjoy the shooting process.

Welcome, welcome to CS. :)

shoot more and post more . . . digital is FREE. ;p

Whats most important is the following:

580EX
Ultra wide angle(14L f2.8)
Fisheye (Samyang 8mm)
Telephoto(70-200L f2.8 IS II USM)
Fast primes (85L f1.2; 135L)
Macro (180L f3.5)
Super Telephoto (800mm f5.6 IS)
Teleconverters
Battery grip and extra batteries for 550D

ALL in your 160L + 38L DRY CABINETS

Once you get hold of all these, you are ready for the world.
