Newbies - Comments and Critique

Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to photography and am interested to get some comments on some photographs , which i turn to took out of the "auto" mode. I believe there are also alot of newbies like me who like to get some comments on their photographs as well.

The Critique Corner seem too pro for us newbie to get in. It would be great to have a thread just to share some ideas or comments on how to get our shots right before taking into consideration the other aspects of photography.
