newbiee question - hi everyone - D70 Australia to buy or not to

Hello everybody

Can anyone offer some advice

I am considering a buying a Nikon D70 2nd hand (nov 2005)
Including 18-70 & 70-300 + 2 batteries + a couple of filters

This will be my first Digi SLR - is $660 (Australian) a fair price??????????
I guess the lenses alone are close to 600 bucks????

But it is old technology only 6 mega pixels... my point and shoot camera is 7 mega pixels

Or if you know of any one selling similar or newer camera - in Brisbane Australia

It's the quality of those mega pixels that matters, not the quantity. Higher ISO will reveal the difference clearly. Only half of this is actually necessary for the normal 4R printing.
Have a look at specification and also pay attention to limitations in terms of lens - body combination. Not all lenses will not work with Autofocus etc.
