hi marvin. Welcome to CS!
550D is a very capable camera. Make sure you use it well!
Read up more on photography basics, as well as familiarize yourself with your camera operation.
You really have to shoot more to learn more. Don't forget Read More too! :D

Hi,
Welcome. If you are a newbie in photography like me, try to join group outings for : sunrise shoot, street photography, macro, lighting, etc... to get a feel of different types of photography. They are all FOC and best of all, you get to know many types and ages (young & old) of members.
Cheers, God Bless. :D:D
LEW

PS: If you are married, make peace with your wife first, because the many outings you attend will make her feel neglected and she may suspect that you are having an affair outside the house!!:bigeyes:

And you should make peace with yourself first before going out to shoot. Patience and perserverence is needed to create a "good" photo.
