abt the metering of the sunset, I think it work just for this moment of the sunset; wld not work in general I wld say. Best is to do exposure bracketing and shoot very fast.

did u use a macro lens for the spider shots?

Metering a round the sun is a common practices for shooting sunrise and sunset, cos that area is about mid tone gray.

A few months & can achieve such a results! You'll go a long way dude. Providing you don't loose interest in this hobby. And I'm not joking man!:sweat:
Like your flower shot. But you can crop away more parts at the top & some at both side. Creating the rule of thirds.
Nevertheless, you've passed way above basic photography test.;p Cheers dude & look forward to see more wonderful pics from you.
