Hihi everyone, so happy to finally get a Pentax KX after much comparing =)
Jus wanna check, is it alright for me to use MF mode instead of AF mode?
Im totally new in DSLR but i find that i like to use the MF mode more than the AF mode.
I jus bought the KX dual kit 50-200mm last night form Manly.....
Hope to learn more from everyone here.....:D
Still halfway reading through the User manual, though some stuffs like
shutter speed, exposure, ISO, aperture, i still cant actually fully understand....
Will hope to hear more from everyone here with experiences;p
Thanks muchly

simple camera basic manual controls must learn first.. later u can learn about what are the specific features the kx has as differ to other models/brands..

those basics can be found everywhere online.. nowadays got video explanations.. even better

Hey thanks everyone.....wat a nice and warm welcome :D
One question :
Where to get Cheap Sanyo Eneloops batteries ( Other than tecpoint2139, or is he the cheapest already? )
For the charger, wats the difference between Sanyo quick 2hr charger, 6hrs charger or 14hrs charger? Which is better for longer lasting charge?
Or should i get the MAHA as mentioned? Where to buy it at cheaper price?

Thanks muchly:lovegrin:

Welcome and enjoy the coolest camera available :)

Yes, you can use manual mode w/ any lens, as long as you can hook up with your camera, even a beer bottle bottom ;)

Used to get at S$15 for 4XAA Eneloops. But too troublesome. So recently found one shop in SLS selling at S$20 for 4xAA (no charger as I already have a charger). IS this cheap? I dunno. To me quite cheap maybe not the cheapest.

i don't know where to get cheap eneloops.

quick chargers will heat up your batteries a lot more than a slow charger, so if you're not in a hurry then it will be better to get a variable charger that can switch between quick and slow charge. MAHA powerex would offer a lot of these, so it's probably a good choice.

charging up your batteries properly will ensure that they last longer and have a good life everytime you charge them up.

I bought some Sanyo Imedions via ebay. You might want to search there.

Wow...thanks for the kind advise...
Can Maha charger charge Sanyo Eneloops?
Got a quote from Tecpoint on Ebay,
8pcs Eneloops $33 + 6hr Charger with 2AA eneloop $27 + Delivery $2 = $62
Is this worth or good? Or should i get the MAHA charger?
BTW im a Gal not Bro....
