Hi All,
Received an Olympus C-8080 Wide Zoom For Christmas gift.
As I was using those pocket DC, know nothing about this SLR type.
Please help me with recommended settings for Marco or Super Marco in
order for me to take some photos of my shrimps in my tank.
Many thanks in advance !
:dunno:

:) nice present. Congrate!

For me...I usually used Super Macro if my fishes or shrimp are near to the front glass of my tank. With Super Macro, you can get closer.

Fishes are generally more difficult..if you moved closer, they would usually swimmed away...hence I switched to Normal Macro or Shutter-priority mode and zoomed in to fill the frame. C-8080 can be slow at focusing if the light are not ideal.. so some times, I would pre-focus on a spot where I knew the fish would swimmed by and be ready to snap.

I know of some people who use a special setup tank meant for photography.. a small and narrow tank where the fishes are very much confine to the small area.

Perhaps others here can offer better tips.

Hi harmony,
many thanks for your reply !!
Maybe you can help by telling me any rough idea settings like ISO,Aperture, shutter speed
and any others. I will set in one of "MyMode" preset Settings.
Still trying to figure out even for normal photography.
Or maybe other experts, pls help !!
Regards

Y dun just use shutter priority with ISO 200. I think shld be fine. and hey since its digital, u can just shoot. Trial and error is a great way to learn too.;)

Think, this is the only choice.
Just shoot and learn from the pictures taken.
Many thanks
