newbie..need help from pros..

Hello all.. i am new to photography and i am looking for a decent camera to start experimenting with...i am currently using a DMC-LZ5 (panasonic) which is decent point and shoot camera but doesnt have many manual functions to play around with...Any comments on panasonic FZ5 (a few ppl selling this model on this forum)..let me know..any other suggestions are welcomed as well.

welcome to CS, Maybe you want to tell us what kind of camera you are looking for. PnS? Prosumer? DSLRs? What's your budget and what do you want to shoot?

I am looking for a basic PnS camera but with some manual features (for focus, aperture et cetera) to play around with.

Budget : 350 -450 S$
