Newbie into Candied & Portrait shots

Hi there,

I recently purchased a 7D to Capture Moments of my Kids & I'm on the Hunt for Lens for this purpose.

Sick & Tired of Blur shots taken from my compact Digital Cameras. My Kids are constantly running around, so I'm gonna need all the Skill & Equipment I can get.

Would appreciate constructive advise from members here.

Don't let the jealous type get to you. Buying the best you can afford is my motto.

Enjoy taking photos. Even with a basic 18-55 lens, you'll see remarkable image quality differences. Don't worry if at first things aren't perfect. Post your results and seek help on improvement.

If your precious (your children NOT your camera) are the type to zoom around, choose a faster shutter speed, or start with Tv priority mode to freeze their action/movements.
