hi im currently using a nikon d5000 and im planning to buy a potrait lens..
any recomendations?
i tried searching for the 50mm af-s but to no avail and only the 50mm without motor is available...
so what other brands are there availble and how much does it cost?(must have motor to autofocus)
sry but im still a noob

Only the 50mm 1.4 has AF-S. you can check out the price guide at the price guide section. Depending on your needs, you can get 35mm, 50mm or 85mm

Both 35mm f/1.8G (DX) and 50mm f/1.4G are AFS.

$840000?! What currency are you talking about? Depending on your needs, the 35mm f1.8 does work on your D5000

Definitely a typo, who would pay $840K for a lens? Can pay for a condo alr.:bigeyes:

The 35mm f1.8 is certainly capable in handling low light conditions

AFS 50mm f/1.4G costs around S$840.00.

On your D5000, it will be 75mm. For 35mm, it will be 52.5mm.
