from Ken's site:
I love my Canon 5D. I love it so much that I've been so busy shooting with it these past 18 months instead of writing about it. (The same applies to my excellent 15mm fisheye and original model 14mm f/2.8, both of which also are great.) Today is overcast, so I guess it's time to write it up once and for all.

I'm a sucker for a bargain, so I bought my 5D on November 15th, 2006 from Adorama back when Canon was offering a $600 rebate, so long as you also got an appropriate lens. I thought the rebate signaled a new model, but I was wrong and lucked out.

I've made about 15,000 shots on my 5D (or maybe it's 25,000). I love its vivid color (when set to my standard of +3 saturation) and its pure image quality.

He doesn't own exclusively Nikon cameras, though he seems to be more of a Nikon fan.

Is impersonating allowed in the forum?

Not a question of "impersonating".
It is the question of why he "hopes" to learn
with his "humble" gears.

TS shouldn't be fearful of being a newbie.
You start it right with the right gear and
that would save and benefit you more in
the long run.

And when you seriously want to learn
you will soon find your gear not at par
with your knowledge. Let us have his
last words to stop all his critics.

------------------------------------------
The value of his new marriage to
his high end gear will probably
allow him to fight for more value
in his relationship to fellow Csers.
If he don't know what his values are
most likely he'll have a hard time
finding his potential in his photography
pursue. ;):)

Newbie must choose newbie name.. cannot choose such pro name... :D

A child will grow, so will you.
So you are not making the strongest
foundation to your theory.

TS can see the bigger picture and he
has his compass even at the start of
his journey. Others are almost
certainly still searching for the
standard to learning all about photography.

;):)

wow! you have such a great piece of equipment man. my wishes for your learning progress.
