can a lens hood fully put on wif a UV Filter on?

i trying to put the lens hood on my 17-85 lens (wif a uv Filter) it cant fit on fully,
only when i remove it (the Filter) it can fit nicely..

Or could it be that you have fitted a CP-L Filter on the lens instead ?

Can you post a picture with everything so that we can see.
If possible include side view, thank you.

TS, is your lens hood snap-on or screw-on?

*I got a feeling you are actually using a filter thread screw on lens hood.

I am using a CPL on my 55-250mm. Getting original hood for it. Any problems with the hood + CPL together?

When using a CPL, usually no one use a Lens hood. Even if it can fit.

BTW I just have to ask a couple of questions:

1. Are you going to leave the CPL on your lens all the time?
2. Do you know how a CPL work? and what it is used for?

I leave it on during day outdoor shooting. Indoors I remove it. I am new in this field. Can advice? So I don't need a hood?

You need to turn the CPL when you compose to see the best effect right before shooting. It will be a challenge to turn the CPL when you have a lens hood on over it.

Please watch that video I posted in your other thread. Try to understand what a CPL is meant to do.

It is not a filter you leave on all the time. You put it on as and when you need it.
