ENJOY DIGITAL SLR CAMERAS
the uncle may give it to you for free or maybe charge u SGD15 for it

all the basic fundamentals are there

You may want to start reading the Newbie Guides here in the forum and your camera manual. There is no "magic setting" - it all depends on your situation and what you want to do. Slight changes in light will need adjustments. Honestly, how can you expect any recommendation from far away for a couple of million possible light situations and without knowing what you want?

I've heard how they sell D60, D3000, D5000 in Costco on pallets on the floor, cash and carry.
