Hi,
The second picture is very strong, I like it.

One thing though, please don't put your copyright right in the middle.
It spoils the photo.
Maybe put it on bottom right :dunno:

Just my input :)

1st one i like
2nd one may be use longer focal length would be better. i feel the pic too "wide" and background distracting. the image is sharp

Rather then pose the child let him play and run aruond you will get more spontaneous shots. But fast camera is needed for these shot.

first shot the idea is there.....the little boy in his erhm "natural" environment....u didnt use flash for this rite.... should have...coz he's under the shade of the "thing"....so end up the colours on his face are not very vibrant....photo also tend to look a tad soft...

second one's cool too....but this kind i would prefer to keep the backgrd simple.....i assume u used flash for this??? colours look brighter and better....

my take: the photos are cool ya...thanks for sharing....

cheers...

cute boy, and nice setting for the shots. just be careful of things "growing" out of his head, eg lamp-post or poles :)

hi pablo,

the copyright was purposedly placed in the center to protect this pic...
i understand no one is gonna leech this, cause mostly they are after girls...
but anyhow and anyway, only felt it right to protect the kid... hee hee :)

thanks for your kind words...

thanks all for your comments... really appreciate it...

learning slowly.... will post more pics once i get them shot...
enjoy every minute of it and this is a really great place for learning....

thanks again....

My view:

First one has good framing, but subject not outstanding, as everything seems yellow, hence subject blends into the background. Also, watchout for what's behind. The pole growing out from the head is the case in point.

2nd one is much better, although background very messy, but the contrasting color and bright subject makes it stands out. Just that the red shoes tend to steal a bit of attention away from the main subject.

The pics are sharp. Which DC you using? The 2nd pic, his slippers' colours, very vibrant! 1st pic is

hey i also attracted to the shoe color

thanks for all the advice....

hee hee... seems like got to tell the kid to change shoes liao....

anyway, the pics are taken with the SOny DSC-W1....

oh yes... for taking shots with small kids, its better not to use flash because their eyes more sensitive.
If u need to use fill-in flash, make sure u stand a distant away and use zoom.
But then of coz, u must be within the range of the flash and not too far.

capture the expression on the face. eg when swinging high on a swing or sliding down the slide.

it is ok to use indrect flash.
