Hello,

Just came back from a short trip to Genting. 1st try on macro with my S3 IS.

1798359435_3cf0b2c08e_o.jpg

The photo was with ZERO PP except crop to size.
Camera: Canon S3 IS
Exposure: 1/640 sec
Aperture: f/3.5

I need C&C here. How is the composition and exposure? Are the weeds behind distracting? If I crop it in landscape mood, will it be better?

Thank you in advance.

Rest of the series are here below: -

For macro... You really must get up close to the flower (close to your nose)... Depending what is your focused subject.

Keep Shooting more and custom your own shooting style.

I afraid this is not macro eventhough the button on your camera might be switch to macro mode. The sudject is out of focus. Take a look at the macro section here to see the difference. Soon you will get the BBB virus and would have to upgrade all your gears.

i will frame the flower only in the pic... exclude the stalk...
Try to use tripod as well...

Too far to be a macro. Try getting nearer to the subject?
