Well if they can fund a space mission to build a moonbase from their own bank account, I'm sure they can claim that piece of land for themselves.

btw, since u mentioned luxury cruiser.. heard QE2 has been sold to Dubai. The UAE investors has been very agressive in buying things around the global this year. They even bought a marine company in Singapore.

How about that Reliance Group guy who built his own USD1.5bn building to be used as his home? Complete with helicoptor pad, helicoptors, etc...

He is worth USD15bn. So, he is spending 10% of his wealth for his home. Guess that's reasonable. If you have $10m, I'm sure you would think that it's ok to spend $1m for a terrace house? :bsmilie:

At least they are still positive. I bought my flat when I only have 1/3 of my flat value, and that includes my CPF:cry: And I still owe HDB the remaining loan. Sigh....sad story of my life....

So... they the Reliance Group guy's 1.2bn home is ok, right? When I put it in that perspective, most people think it's ok... but then again the Indian PM is urging people not to be so extravagant because there is a huge rich-poor divide in India.
