That's called "Stacking lens" macro, and some ppls called it micrography,
you can try to attach your 50 1.8 to a 70-300G, full zoom to 300, then u have 6:1 life size, but u need ring flash or very bright working environment, the DOF can go to 1-2mm.

tested it before, fun, but hard to produce proper pic.
