new sigma flash?

Went searching for sigma flash today. Came across 2 version of sigma flash. the 1st 1 i saw stated :

"SIGMA EF 500 DG SUPER"

on the box, while the second 1 stated:

"SIGMA EF 500 DG SUPER,EO-ETTL"

on the box. Like to seek someone who knows the different to advise me pls. Asked the assistance, but he/they dont know that there is another version of both, Or maybe i was wrong. Eyes "Ta stamp" see wrongly. :embrass: . Thanks in advance.

PS: non of those shop holds both the version. :think:

Because the EF 500 DG Super flash is available for different camera protocols, I suspect the one with the "EO-ETTL" is for Canon cameras. I'm not too sure about the other one.

Make sure you get the correct version.

Just recieved sigma reply regarding the flash.Confirm that there are 2 version of sigma Ef 500 DG super for canon mount.

Old = sigma EF 500 DG super(canon mount)

new= sigma EF 500 DG super EO-ETTL(canon mount,with ETTL II capability.

think will drop the idea of buying the old version, where topping up $60 give u the new version.
