Update 24 May 5:20 pm : The predicted peak hour is over. But from online feedback, not many meteors seen. So do not have very high hopes of seeing many meteors in Singapore even if the sky is clear.

The new meteor shower, Camelopardalids, may be visible in Singapore tonight (Sat, 24 May) if:

- Sky is clear enough. Especially northern skies.
- Observer/Photographer is patient enough.

This may be an interesting opportunity to shoot star trails with meteors streaking across it.

More info from my blog: http://www.astro.sg/2014/05/new-meteor-shower-camelopardalids.html

Good luck hunting and shooting meteors!

Nvm, later I go try out my A7R long exposure. Btw, taking meteors better in video or photo?

There is the Star Trail App. Its quite unique. Registers any lights moving within the frame so it can be registered.

You can save either as photo or video. Can choose only either option.
