hi all, juz read this here:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/Technolo...-Singapore-bill/2007/02/14/1171128996151.html

talks about a new law against s'poreans spamming & the fine. cud this be another world class following act? ;p

here's a little extract:

The bill gives recipients of unwanted messages the power to launch civil court action against violators, who could be liable for damages up to 25 US dollars (16 US) for each message.
The bill applies to messages originating in Singapore but The Straits Times reported Tuesday that 90 percent of spam messages come from outside the city-state.

if that applies to spam originating outside the state, i will get average of 2500 USD per day liaoz....

What happens if your server kena hacked and used as a mail relay by spammer ?
Do they fine the spammer (not likely) or fine the originating server owner ?

Sounds like a lot of bark but not much bite.
