I have basically narrow down my search to a few lens. Just a hobby. Not earning a living with it. Using a fim SLR.
For those that are familar with the lens, maybe give your opinion on it. Thank you all.

Hi,

Would you please tell me where to get the Tokina 20-35mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro for $750?

The price I quoted is for 2nd hand lens.

Can't tell you lah.. Wait you buy before me, how?

Anymore input? Only 4 person can help me make this decision?

Ok, thanks. Don't worry, just wondering why it is so cheap brand new.

I'd recommend one of three:

20mm f/2.8
24mm f/2
28mm f/2.8

I'm using the manual AIS versions, never tried AF. Second hands prices are around 500+ for the 20 and 24, high 300+ for 28.

Personally I like the 20mm

Nikon 24mm f/2.8D an excellent lens.
Great contrast, colour and sharpness...
18-35mm may be a bit tempting, but i felt an f3.3-4.5 a bit small.
Nikon 20 also a good one, but quite a price gap, picture angle much wider then 24.
So i think 24mm would be a good choice, in budget, and picture coverage angle is more then sufficient in most general situations

the tamron gets my vote. optically very sharp. AF slightly slower than Nikkor lenses but since it is only a hobby, shouldn't matter much, right?

Thanks all. I have choose the 24mm for it low price. Still waiting to get a chance to test it.

Will be getting the tokina if I have the spare cash next time.
