I want to scan my passport sized photo and reprint them in shops. How do I do it efficiently?

1. DPI?
2. What format is best? TIFF?
3. Which software would be best? I have Photoshop, okay?

TIA ~ :)

1. DPI? Min 300DPI
2. What format is best? TIFF? Just JPG with lowest/no compression will do the job
3. Which software would be best? I have Photoshop, okay?Yes... that would do the job. However, if you like, you may set a blank page to 4" x 6" (4R size) and overlay 6 passport photos on it. For info, passport photo size is 4.5cm x 3.5cm, 300DPI. Thus only cost you $0.50 for 6photos. :)

Just to clarify on the format. I have friends who worked in printing company giving me advice that TIFF would be the best.

Is this true? Or the size of passport photo makes it immaterial?

I am only left with 1 photo, guess I will duplicate it myself or ask the shop to do so ~

yes, tiff is the best, but how big you want you passport to be? poster size?
like sykestang said, jpg is good enough.
