nice bag. just the padding seems to be too thin IMO. I'm using 7 million dollar home crumpler bag which is not this squarish. anyway for camera bag is depend on wat kind of equipment you have and mostly what equipment you will bring most of time. And also don't forget i will need to chunk in a water bottle also. haha

Where can i get this too?

it's listed in teh cathay webby @ $33

I havent actually seen teh actual bag
but it sure looks big enough for 1 dslr, 1 umbrella, 1 water bottle, 1 tripod n space for accessories

maybe I'll drop by the shop next week
hopefully can get thicker padding

Wah cool sia. Looks like a cheaper alternative to more stylish Billingham or Domke. Anyone who goes down to Cathay can just help me see if the bag can fit a 80-200 f2.8 mounted on camera and hood reversed can fit the whole width of the bag anot. Don't need to carry my bulky flipside

Edit: Saw it online. Fits a 70-200 unmounted with tripod collar and a body mounted on a 18-50 sigma AND a flash. Looks pretty big. Can do without those paddings

I guess the padding is more like a hood. You don't really need it, but when you need it, you'll be glad it's there

if only gf 1 then too big
but u can use the extra space for other stuff
so u wont be bringing another bag with u

Looks like a cool bag. Thing about messenger is that you will seldom leave the bag on the floor or something. You should be carrying it on you most of the time. Padding looks barely adequate but I would be careful when handling the bag.

One thing, and this is probably personal preference, is that to get to your gear you need to deal with the flap of the bag. It can get inconvenient sometimes. Personally I would prefer a bag with a flap, but also a zip on the top, like the Lowepro Classified series.

classified series is abit exp for moi :x

has any 1 seen teh actual product?

cathay closes abit early...
then other shops have not taken in this model yet...

its a nice messenger bag but as the person said above, the flap more then often will get in the way. What you want is a bag that uses zipper access to get to the internal compartment.

might want to consider a bag like this,

has more then enough pockets to make just about everyone happy and it fits my standard gig kit of gripped K20D, Flash, zoom lens and etc. best is that for this zip access bag, its only $5 at Harvey Norman.

depends on how you wear the bag too.

if there is a wee bit of slack, the flap is no problem. :)

me, i don't like zips. after a few times of unzipping bags and getting everyone's attention in quiet places (like churches in europe).. i've sworn them off, along with other noisy things that are involved in camera bags.

went to cathay yesterday during lunch time
teh padding is very minimum
teh btm is very thin like there's no padding at all

btw it's a small bag tat's abt teh size of A4 paper...

Bro reportage, care to share which Harvey Norman carties that bag? Five bucks is a worthwhile investment :)

What do you expect for $33? :dunno:

didnt expext to be tis small mah...

Well, the picture did include some stuff in there for size reference. A DSLR, a flash, a pen. Should be able to see how small it is.

Buy a proper bag la.
