First you should put into portrait mode.

Your subject lacks dimension due to poor lighting technique. Instead of concealing the subject's facial flaws through careful placement of your strobes, you highlighted it further.

My thought is that the orientation of the photo is odd/disorienting.

Orientation got me spinning and turn me off to see deeper

rotate the img into portrait mode but I still like the landscape mode. The eye is big but direction of the eye...... :dunno:
