I recently bought a Canon A40. I have got a Casio AC adapter at home. Can I use it to power the camera when I connect it to the computer?

I was asking at the shop which I bought my camera and they said it'll be fine.

But the camera says 4.3V D/C in and the charger can only switch between D/C 3.3V and D/C 6V.

How?

The A40 uses 4x 1.5v AA size batts...so technically it uses D/C 6v to power itself.

But since the specs says that the powers I/O accepts 4.3v, then it's up to you whether u wanna take the chance or not.

My previous Fuji FP2800z states 5v also (though it uses 6 AA batts), but i uses the same Casio adapter as yours w/o any problem.
