Hello =)

I have a len name: SMC Pentax-M F1.2 50mm (Last time my brother use on his K1000)

Now I have a K10D and when I use the lens for the K10D. The Screen show this signal: F-- (it blinking) and I wasn't able to capture a photo. Am I able to use the lens for my K10D

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Thanks =)

i think you did not go to custom menu to set permit for pictures to be taken when aperture ring is not at A. Camera does not operate unless Permitted is selected in the custom menu.

1) go Custom Setting menu
2) go Using aperture ring
3) set to to Permitted

You should be able to use the Pentax-M on the K10D.

But first u must go to the custom menu, there's this "Using Aperture Ring" --> Set it to "Permitted".

THanks =) I am able to use the lens now =)

Is it a 1:1.2 lens or just the more common 1:2 one (which was the kit lens of K1000)? Pentax only got K/A 50/1.2, never had an M50/1.2. I'm guessing yours is the M50/2 (F2 not F1.2) :think:
