2600z?

Pay extra $80 get A40 or C2040. You won't regret.

ok.. hey thanks ppl.. these models would greatly help me..

soo let me see..

fujifilm 2600Z
Canon A40/30
C2040

hmm how much would the 2600Z cost exactly or around how much.. used the fuji A101.. its quite good only got no zoom :p ?

forget about terms like "XX Zoom", they are meaningless, if you want to know what is the field of view, check out the focal lenght, it will give a better picture on "how far you can zoom".

Focal distance Normal: Approx. 0.8m/2.6ft. to infinity
Macro: Approx. 10cm/3,9in. to 0.8m/2.6ft.

rueyloon, it's ok for him lah, since he's looking at consumer DCs and most of them start off with about 35mm anyway....:)

Dun think 2040 or A40 will be below $500.

Maybe look at older model like coolpix 775, Canon A20 or ...

yeah.. wouldnt expect that too..

anywayz.. the 2600Z doesnt have the movie mode.. :p hmm.. i guess u can have everything :)

hmm now considering the A40 coz it uses AA bats too.. but its gonna cost me.,, :(

anywayz.. looks like i have got to sell my fuji A101 then.

the C2040.. its.. damn good but its kinda big though..

2600z has 20s without sound and web cam feature. A40 should be better if u want nite shots.

hi
abit of a sidetrack
im considering my options just like matrix here.
I myself is choosing between a40 and c2040

which is the better one ? or rather any significant differences between them that stands out individually ?? :dunno:

Thanks in advance, :)

Sony has a new 2.1MP 3x optical zoom camera listed for <$500. You might want to take a look too.

There are some thread in the past week discussing this. Have a read around.

Its a tough decision. if you have the budget and don't mind the slight bulk of the C2040, you shd get it.

A40 does not have full control of F-stops. No shutter/aperture priority. It has noise reduction built-in and movie mode with audio.
