What Olympus lens are you using? Is it that you cannot AF at all, or the AF takes a few seconds to lock?

I am using14~42mm zoom !:3.5-5.6 ED lens.
The focusing keep hunting ( moving forward & backward ).
What I need to set to make it compatible ?

But can lock focus after a few seconds of hunting?

No, continuous hunting, When use with Olympus camera ~ NO Problem.

Hmm, that's odd. It's normal to hunt for a few seconds but it should lock focus. Maybe there's some compatibility issue with the lens and the GF1. Have you tried this combo before with the older adaptors? Like MMF1/2 or DMW-MA1? As far as I am aware, there are no in-camera settings to tweak for 4/3 adaptors.
