Hi, I'm using a Nikon D60. Recently I dug out 2 very old external flashes from the storeroom - the Suntax SP 908 and the Sunlight SL-3003.

I read that older models of flashes might release a larger charge of voltage as compared to modern models. To be more detailed, the source says something like older models may release a charge of up to 400V as compared to the modern 30V, and might result in circuit problems of the camera.

The external flashes uses AA size batteries, and I don't know if it would affect my camera. Does anyone know how these things work, and if the older photographers might enlighten me on the voltage values of the above mentioned flashes?

THanks!

The site doesn't have TS' flash model...
