NEED HELP: RAW files unable to be opened

hi peeps...

recently shot at a frd's wedding...
as the subject reads that i am facing some problems opening quite a number of RAW files...
was wondering anyone out there can advise what i can do...

(a) I use Photoshop CS2 to open/browse images that were saved onto my comp via the CF cards
(b) funny thing is that, i can see thumbnails of the pics but when i double click them, they are saying that Photoshop cannot recognize this file...
(c) files are in CR2

questions -
(1) are files corrupted?
(2) if corrupted, what can one do to repair them?
(3) if not corrupted, any advice?

Do you have the plug-in necessary to open the RAW files? If not then go to Adobe website and download teh necessary plug-in according to your camera brand.

If you already have the Adobe Camera Raw plugin installed make sure its updated to the latest version if yours is a new camera as the RAW support may be absent in older versions.

i have downloaded the latest Camera Raw 3.2 plug in for PS2.
Dragged that into PS/Plugin/adobe photoshop only/file formats folder...
but when i open bridge or PS, they are still unable to open up my RAW files...

On the other hand, i downloaded Apple's Camera Raw update...
Preview opens them well now (previously cannot last night)...

did i update Camera Raw in PS2 correctly?
