Hi Guys,

Just need help on the correct WB settings, since I realized some of my shots were either yellow or orange, specially night shots.BTW i'm using A500. Usually my settings @ night, Fluorescent, vivid(contrast+2,saturation+2,sharpness+3).
Whats the best settings for contrast, saturation, sharpness? Because I think this is the tricky settings here, if i'm right.

Thanks guys..

It all depends on the color temperature of the light source(s), or the light(s) reflecting off your subject(s).

Since no details of the subject(s) is/are provided nor a sample photo, there's nothing to analyze other than hazarding a guess that you might be referring to street lights or just about any other form of artificial lights in or similar to the category of tungsten, halogen or hybrid tungsten-halogen or sodium vapor lamps and possibly other types of lamps as well. Right now, we can only take pot-shots in the dark.

Sharpness and contrast settings have nothing to do with color temperature, but increasing a camera's saturation setting may intensify the visual perception of a color. In your case, the lower end of the color temperature spectrum.

The easiest approach I can think off is to choose the closest WB setting (tungsten, and not fluorescent - entirely different wavelengths of light involved), shoot RAW and correct the WB in a capable post program.

What makes you selecting the WB setting "Fluorescent"? Any good reason, advice by sales man or just a lucky shot? It is best to start thinking about camera settings before you shoot.
