Hi I am new here. Seek your guy help as how to judge whether picture taken is sharply focused using manual mode. Are there any assistant indicator in Nikon camera that make sure picture is focus sharply, instead of judging by naked eyes. thanks guys.:)

I think you are refering to AF-Confirmation ?

there is a small greenish yellow button at the bottom left when u look thru the viewfinder. It will blink when u are nearly on focus. Will become a solid round dot when focused..

It's Nikon AF 70 - 300mm G len. However, the AF mode doesn't work on D3000 model. So i am using manual focus mode instead.

Thanks for the advice. I will try...

:)

It's in your manual by the way...

beside the green dot confirmation, there are some split focusing screen that is design for manual focus use... very handy! :)

Just for the record, there's no such thing as a "lense"...

yes, it is lens.. and plural form is lenses..

btw, your green AF confirmation dot works only at the selected AF point..
so it works like this:
-choose one of the 11 AF points
-use that point and aim it at the subject that you want to focus on
-focus until you see the green dot becomes solid

usually i just use the center one and focus, then recompose..
read the manual for detailed explanation..

btw, reading the manual is the very first thing to do when you get a camera..
i even downloaded a pdf version of my RF manual and read it the day before i bought it..
