i see so many people selling lens over at the buy/sell corner and i'm quite blur because new to photography but how do you actually see which lens is for which camera?

or is there a size of the lens which some cameras can use?

hopefully someone would kindly enlighten me.

thanks.

Hi, if you are talking abt lens (which is only for SLR/DSLR cameras), they have specified mounts. If you are using a Nikon SLR/DSLR camera, you should get lens with Nikon mount, same goes for Canon, Minolta etc.. Just ask for the lens mount, usually they will indicate unless forgotten :bsmilie:
However if you are using a Point and Shoot camera or a Prosumer camera without detachable lens, you cannot use those lens for sale and can only get telephoto convertors, wideangle convertors or macro filters etc which are screwed onto your camera's front thread. For those you should get the convertors which matches your camera lens' front thread size.

thanks for the reply man.

;)
