Need Help! Need advice on organize a photo competition on POLAROID.

DEAR ALL,

I'm Xavier here.
I need some advice on how to organize a Photo Competition on POLAROID?

First of all, what I'm doing it here is NOT doing it out of profit or any form of $$$ in return or
promoting any company's name, brand and Label to earn profit out of it.
Just doing it out of fun and my interest in polaroid pictures taking.
As we all know Polaroid Corporation announced this year on February.
All instant film made from Polaroid will be discontinue and all production will stop by the end of this year. :cry:

This make me want to do a Gathering + Competition for Polaroid.
It's just a small idea of mine. But, i really do not have any idea on where to start
and where to go about doing it. :embrass:

Program on that day :

The competition come with two theme (yet to confirm)
1. The Singapore Flyers.
2. Vintage Singapore.
3. God(s) (places of worship).
4. LIFE.
(more will be added??)

Each participants will have 4 -5hour to get 2 theme done.
With 2 theme, this will make the competition a lot harder.
To get 2 good pictures is not easy and yet is not too hard.

This will be a one day events. Cause, all picture are instant pictures.
There will be less waiting time for the Judges.
Just wait till all participants are back and Judges can to the judging on who will be the winner.


Now! Here is the problem.

1. Where to find fund for the prizes for this events?
2. Should i make this a paying entry competition to fund for the prizes?
3. Am I just wasting my time here who will pay to do this kind of competition?
4. If it's a paying entry competition? How much should i ask for each participants?


All advice are welcome good/bad.


Btw, do not know where to post my thread.

Can't you see that a certain company is obviously going to benefit from the competition? :dunno: Instant prints are not cheap. Can I shoot with Fuji Instax instead?

Yup, Polaroid will benefit.

But, Polaroid Corporation announced on Feb 8 this year!
Even if Polaroid benefit on this event it will be useless for them.

Any dates? :sweat: So its easier to plan things out.

Date on the event is easy. But to get at less 20 to join and where to find the prizes is harder!

My plan :

Place : Red Dot Design Museum.
Date : May/June first Sunday of the month. ( Most people off on sunday)
Time : 1pm -5pm ( 4 hours 2 theme)

Everything should end around 6pm -6.30pm.
