Whether to get an additional battery will depend on your usage. If you often run out of battery then it is a clear indication that you should get one.
As for the tripod, the general advice will be for you to bring your gears down to the shops as you will need to determine if the height, weight, sturdiness, stability, load and of course, price of the tripod suits you.
Do take into account if you are getting heavier equipment and/or travelling with the tripod unless you don't mind upgrading the tripod again in future.
