As a tourist, you are exempted from GST.
For example, I have been checking out for a lens that I'm keen to get which cost around $950 after gst and I was told that before gst, it is about $830 which is about what you will be getting in the BnS section in cs. My point is if you wanted get relative new 2nd hand lens, you might want to consider getting new ones.

Check out the price guide here. The reputable shops are listed in this sub-forum also. Do call a few shops for availability and prices. Do your homework before buying.

I'd actually avoid those shops. Just get from the buy and sell here.

Please bear in mind TS is not a native Singaporean and acronyms/abbreviations/terms we are familiar with may be totally alien or mean something entirely different to him. To us OP means Orient Photo, located at the 6th floor of Sim Lim Square, but to him, it may mean gibberish or even Ocean Pacific. :)

hT, have a look here: http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=518391

PM me your arrival date and schedule. I'll be glad to accompany you shop/shoot if my schedules permit. :)

Aside, from what I've seen, a used EF 100mm macro 2.8 USM goes for around $650 - $750 used. I do not know about the earlier, non-USM version as it is not so common now.

This is really sad that you guys feel this way.

If you like to have some sort of guide, you need to help us first before we can help you by posting this request up earlier. At least 2 weekends before. Basically, this coming weekend is a long weekend and usually we would have planned something to do by now.

We won't be a guide lah. Probably just bring you round to shoot (We will probably be shooting too.) and a few places to makan and we can pay for ourselves. :)

PS. Dream merchant you still remember Kit's #4 outing on this sat?

100mm F2.8 better to buy from forums here..

many of the ex-100mm F2.8 users are migrating to the new 100mm L lens...

On weekends, I go shoot late at night, really late... so if u are interested, gimme a PM..
