Can't be done, that's why most companies prefer to send documents via PDF. The receipient cannot do any alterations to it.

Anybody heard different?

Can be done but you need to buy the software. Its called "ABBYY FineReader OCR 8.0 professional Edition". I'm using it at work.

You can simply save as Text file. currently using the Adobe reader 7.

But the alignment might be slightly out and lose pics and Tables data.

AFAIK, it can only be done if the original pdf document is created from text. if its scaned in and converted to PDF, den it cannot be done with any software.. I'm not using this function but my collegue is using Acorbat.

If it's scanned in, then got to use OCR software (like the one mentioned by SharkBite) to recover the text.

Got to buy software to convert.

Expensive.

Non-expensive ones can found in Holiday Plaza across the river. RM$6 to reach there :p
