Hi all, I'm looking for a bag that can fit the following:-

1 x XXD with 17-55mm F2.8 mounted on
1 x EF-S 50mm F1.8/Tamron 90mm
1 x 430EXII
Personal accessories like water bottle, laptop and maybe a 2" thick plastic folder

Looking at KATA 30N1 but don't quite like its looks and I'm not sure if it can fit a laptop either..

Any one can help?

what is your budget? A Billingham Hadley Large can set you back around $300

I suggest you have a look at the Think Tank range of bags. TK Foto in Beach Road has a full range as they are the distributor. You can get it also from Cathay Photo or John:16 @ Funan. I just got a backpack from them and it's just great. Looking at another one down the road. The Urban Disguise 35 is compact but it fits loads of stuff. Definitely recommended. Hope this helps.

Tamrac has a good choice of bags from their Adventure series.

Some models can hold quite a good number of things, including laptops and multiple lenses....they also look like regular backpacks, which is good in places where you dont want to have a red arrow flashing that you are a photographer. Theres a shop selling a good selection of bags in Peninsular plaza...Cathay photo on the ground level and theres a shop on the 2nd level too, manly focusing on bags.

Oh forgot to include my budget... preferably ard $150.

what i recommend is look at Lowepro Mini Trekker and then from there take down the points you want your bag to have compared to the mini trekker. All thats left is then time to search the internet for your bag.

Actually, just pop by stores like Cathay, TK and OP to try it out which I reckon after suggestions here, you'll still do so - better la, can see, touch, feel, smell... ya.

Your first camera bag is like your first branded sports shoe, hard to choose, but since you've limited the options to one that can fit a notebook, I think it's easier to narrow when you're in store. Good luck.

Which shop has a larger range to choose from? or do they each carry individual brands?

TK Photo is your best bet.

Orient Photo also has a good range.

and crumpler is avail at erm, crumpler

But your budget plus need to put in laptop severely limits choice.

suggest you ditch one of these 2 requirements. your options expand significantly.

bring your gear to try out.

Lowepro fastpack 250 should do fine for you. I have similar setup and the bag serves me well. Can bring this on board plane as well..

CP dun carries TT series wor...

To TS :

I own a TT UD 35 and 50, great bag, durable and doesnt shout camera bag,
both can fit my stuff.
With UD35 to fit my gear and netbook
And UD50 to fit my gear and macbook

Highly recommendable!

I have a Billingham 225 as well, if u do not have a budget, tat shd b ur top of ur list.

One con : Can serisouly take a toll on ur shoulders with laptop on on a full day shoot, need to invest in their backpack harness which will further set u back ard 90-100. .
That say, it's my fav bag!! :)

TK - for TT and crumpler and lowepro
OP - for billingham and TT and lowepro

U nv go wrong with either one of them for service, price and variety

Fastpack series. Get it from OP. They have the cheapest Lowepro stuff

u may also wish to consider the Kata DR series (eg. 465i , 466i & 467i). the 466i and 467i comes with a laptop compartment, not too sure about the 465i. there're also space to put ur personal belongings on the top half of the bag while the camera and gears go to the bottom half. u can also remove the padding if u want to use the bag for daily purpose instead of a cam bag.
