Hi

my fren have a Canon Ixus V2

we did some ROM shot indoor and outdoor
ALL set to AUTO
*No flash is used*
cuz my fren's fren who is taking the picture is a newbies

the indoor
ALL turn out to be super blur.....

but the outdoor
turn out to be very very clear

why izzit like that
luckily we have an analog camera..
else ruin lar everything

pls help and advise what we should do :)

thanks

Indoor no flash = low shutter speed = camera motion + subject movement = blur.

Outdoor no flash = high shutter speed (coz it's bright outside) = sharp pictures

Try increasing the camera's ISO-equivalent settings. This may help a little, depending on just how dark the indoor conditions are. If you don't wish to use flash, try to position your indoor shots such that there is as much ambient light (from lamps or, preferably, sunlight) as possible.

i see thanks

the ISO is set to 50

but setting ISO to 100 will be grainy leh
any other solution?

if use flash
the lighting will be very flat

i notice 1 thing,
why Fujifilm F601 take indoor pic without flash
is quite nice
izzit because of the different ISO?

believe it's more of the person pressing the shutter.

We just have to get used to these kinds of tradeoffs in photography. Give it a try and see how things work out. In any case, a noisy photo is better than no photo than all! :D (Btw, technically speaking, for digital cameras there isn't really such a thing as 'graininess' in the film/slide sense, but it is true that images do tend to exhibit (digital) noise at higher ISO settings.)

An external flash will offer a great deal more flexibility, but I suspect that that option may be overkill in your friend's case....

sian liao lar

my fren tried to send those blur + sharp ones to process

turn out to be horrible except the sharp ones

:p

next time can set to ISO 100
